ORDINANCE NO. 2025-57 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING SENTARA CARES GRANT FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $42,064.08 FROM TIDEWATER EMERGENCY MEDICAL <br />SERVICES COUNCIL, INC. AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE <br />FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES CATEGORY OF THE FY 2026 <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY PFRES TO ACQUIRE, STORE, <br />DISPENSE, AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF MEDICATIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Sentara Cares Grant funds in the amount of $42,064.08 <br />from Tidewater Emergency Medical Services Council, Inc. and appropriates said funds in <br />the Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services category of the FY 2026 General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Department of Fire, <br />Rescue and Emergency Services to acquire, store, dispense, and property dispose of <br />medications. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services category FY 2026 General Fund Budget are increased by <br />$42,064.08. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 22, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
