ORDINANCE NO. 2025-39 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ADDITIONAL HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS <br />PROGRAM — AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,727 <br />FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2026 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND <br />BUDGET FOR SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND OTHER ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts additional Home Investment Partnerships Program — American <br />Rescue Plan Act funds in the amount of $1,727 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development and appropriates said sum in the FY 2026 Community Development Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used for supportive services, and other <br />eligible activities under the American Rescue Plan Act and applicable regulations. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Community <br />Development Fund Budget are increased by $1,727. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2025. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on June <br />10, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
