ORDINANCE NO. 2025-37 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINTS FUNDING IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $4,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA 9-1-1 SERVICES BOARD AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS TO THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $4,000 from the Virginia 9-1-1 Services <br />Board and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for 9-1-1 Dispatch Personnel training. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $4,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on May <br />27, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
