ORDINANCE NO. 2025-36 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,400 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND <br />BUDGET FOR THE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP MEETING INCENTIVE <br />PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts funding in the amount of $2,400 from the Virginia <br />Department of Social Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Social <br />Services Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used for the Family Partnership Meeting <br />Incentive Program. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Social Services Service Fund budget annually until expended in their entirety. <br />4. That a local match in the amount of 15.5% is required as a condition of the <br />funding, which local match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2025 Social <br />Services Fund Budget. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $2,400. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 27, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
