ORDINANCE NO. 2025-35 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ADDITIONAL FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$20,539.27 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2026 COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT FUND BUDGET FOR USE IN IMPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL <br />ACTION PLAN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts additional funding in the amount of $20,539.27 from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development and appropriates said funds in the FY 2026 <br />Community Development Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used to support the activities in the existing <br />Annual Action Plan. <br />3. That the revised total amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />funds appropriated to the FY 2026 Community Development Fund Budget is $1,545,652. <br />4. That the revised total amount of HOME Investment Partnerships Funds <br />appropriated to the FY 2026 Community Development Fund Budget is $494,215.58. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Community <br />Development Fund Budget are increased by $20,539.27. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2025. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on May <br />27, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
