ORDINANCE NO. 2024-122 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING CONTINUUM OF CARE PLANNING GRANT <br />FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $78,460 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF <br />HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY <br />DSS FOR PLANNING ACTIVITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Continuum of Care Planning Grant Funds in the <br />amount of $78,460 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Social Services Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Social Services <br />for planning activities. <br />3. That a 25% local match is required as a condition of the funding, which <br />match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2025 Social Services Fund Budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $78,460. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
