ORDINANCE NO. 2024-123 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING SUPPLEMENTARY WORKFORCE FUNDING <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $59,235.14 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY BHS TO SUPPORT <br />WORKFORCE INITIATIVES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Supplementary Workforce Funding in the amount <br />of $59,235.14 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development <br />Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Behavioral Healthcare Service <br />Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services to support workforce initiatives. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended in their <br />entirety. <br />4. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding at this time. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $59,235.14. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
