ORDINANCE NO. 2024-83 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING WITH APPRECIATION A DONATION IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $300 FROM JS&J RESTAURANTS INC. AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID AMOUNT TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CATEGORY OF THE FY 2025 <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />I. That it hereby accepts with appreciation a donation in the amount of $300 <br />from JS&J Restaurants Inc. and appropriates said amount to the Police Department <br />Category of the FY 2025 General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department for <br />National Night Out. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the Police Department <br />Category of the FY 2025 General Fund Budget are increased by $300. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 10, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
