ORDINANCE NO. 2024-71 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A CIRCUIT COURT RECORDS <br />PRESERVATION PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,772 FROM <br />THE LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE <br />FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE CIRCUIT COURT CLERK'S <br />OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Circuit Court Records Preservation Program <br />Grant in the amount of $65,772 from the Library of Virginia and appropriates said funds <br />in the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Circuit Court Clerk's Office for record <br />preservation activities and projects. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $65,772. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 13, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
