f4 90 days ftoffl sh@ daw of <br />s <br />(4) Members of the Portsmouth Museums and/or the Friends of the <br />Naval Shipyard Museum shall, upon providing proof of active membership, <br />be entitled to admission without charge to any city museum. An individual <br />membership shall entitle the individual member to admission without <br />charge. A family membership shall entitle members of the immediate <br />family to admission without charge. <br />(5) The city manager or his designee is authorized to establish such <br />waivers of admission fees as deemed appropriate, provided that the <br />conditions or grounds for such waivers are specified in writing. <br />(6) The fees established by this section and set out in appendix A to this <br />Code shall not be applicable to any exhibitions which, by contractual <br />agreement preclude fees from being charged for admission. <br />(7) The director of museums is authorized to set promotional or <br />discount rates for certain exhibits or events not to exceed the established <br />admission fees. These rates may be offered in conjunction with promotions <br />or even involving other organizations or entities. <br />2. That Appendix A to the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is <br />amended as shown on Exhibit A for the purpose of modifying museum admission fees in <br />accordance with Section 1 of this ordinance. <br />3. That Article II (Tax Schedule) of Chapter 20 (Licenses) of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is amended by modifying Subsections 20- 7(b)(1) and <br />20- 7(b)(3) for the purpose providing for a separate license fee for restaurants operated by <br />a casino. Except as shown below, Chapter 20 is not otherwise amended. <br />Sec. 20 -7. Alcoholic Beverages. <br />(b) Every person engaged in dispensing mixed beverages shall be liable for <br />annual license taxes as follows: <br />(1) For each retail mixed beverage restaurant license for persons <br />operating restaurants, including restaurants located on premises of and <br />operated by casinos, hotels or motels, or other persons: <br />a. For each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for up to 100 <br />persons, $200.00. <br />b. For each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for more than <br />100 but not more than 150 persons, $350.00. <br />c. For each restaurant with a seating capacity at tables for more than <br />150 persons but not more than 500 persons, $500.00. <br />
