AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT FUNDING IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $28,421,282 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE <br />FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts American Rescue Plan Act funding in the amount of <br />$28,421,282 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2023 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used in accordance with the requirements of <br />the American Rescue Plan Act. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $28,421,282. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 9, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
