P <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A VIRGINIA HOMELESS SOLUTIONS <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,374 FROM THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID SUM IN THE FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PORTSMOUTH CONTINUUM OF CARE <br />PLANNING ACTIVITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Virginia Homeless Solutions Program grant in the <br />amount of $5,374 from the Department of Housing and Community Development and <br />appropriates said sum in the FY 2023 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services for <br />Portsmouth Continuum of Care planning activities. <br />3. That a local cash match of 25% is required as a condition of the funding, <br />which match has previously been appropriated as part of the FY 2023 Department of <br />Social Services budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $5,374. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 26, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
