AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $10,000 OF INMATE CANTEEN SYSTEM <br />REVENUE IN THE FY 2023 GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET FOR USE BY <br />THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby appropriates the sum of $10,000 in the FY 2023 General Fund <br />Operating Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used to fund expenses of the Sheriff's Office. <br />3. That the source of the appropriation shall be Inmate Canteen System commission <br />revenue collected by the Sheriff's Office. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 General Fund <br />Operating Budget are increased by $10,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 11, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
