2 0.7 8 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING MENTAL HEALTH BLOCK GRANT <br />WORKFORCE INITIATIVE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,052 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND <br />DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2023 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Mental Health Block Grant Workforce Initiative <br />funds in the amount of $19,052 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and <br />Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2023 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services for eligible uses including staff retention and professional development. <br />3. That no additional local funding is required. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $19,052. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 13, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
