37 <br />OR 2421, <br />__.._ <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $500,000 IN FUNDING FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT TO THE WEST NORFOLK ROAD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ACCESS ROAD PROJECT IN THE FY 2022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />BUDGET. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $500,000 in funding from the Virginia Department <br />of Transportation and appropriates said amount to the West Norfolk Road Economic <br />Development Access Road Project in the FY 2022 Capital Improvement Fund Budget. <br />2. That estimated revenues and expenditures for the West Norfolk Road <br />Economic Development Access Road Project in the FY 2022 Capital Improvement Fund <br />Budget are increased by 5500,000. <br />3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and deliver all agreements <br />and /or certifications required by the Virginia Department of Transportation as a condition <br />of the funding. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption, except that <br />the appropriation herein shall take effect on July 1, 2021. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on May 25, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
