ORDNANCE 11R.W o6 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $30,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2021 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br />EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $30,000 from the Virginia Department of <br />Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services to maintain a superior level of readiness for dealing with hazardous <br />materials. <br />That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $30,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on May 25, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
