[ITIE74-i- <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $5,950,000 IN FUNDING FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT TO THE GEORGE WASHINGTON HIGHWAY CORRIDOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE FY 2022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND BUDGET. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $5,950,000 in funding from the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation and appropriates said amount to the George Washington <br />Highway Corridor Improvements Project in the FY 2022 Capital Improvement Fund <br />Budget. <br />2. That estimated revenues and expenditures for the George Washington <br />Highway Corridor Improvements Project in the FY 2022 Capital Improvement Fund <br />Budget are increased by $5,950,000. <br />3. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and deliver all agreements <br />and/or certifications required by the Virginia Department of Transportation as a condition <br />of the funding. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption, except that <br />the appropriation herein shall take effect on July 1, 2021. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on May 25, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
