ORDNANCE 2020 -51 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $552,761 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2020 GRANTS FUND FOR <br />USE BY THE COMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR THE VICTIM - <br />WITNESS PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts a grant in the amount of $552,761 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2020 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office <br />for the Victim- Witness Program. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $552,761 <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 23, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
