ORDINANCE N019 -102 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY <br />PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $700 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2020 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program <br />funds in the amount of 5700 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management <br />and appropriates said funds in the FY 2020 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue <br />and Emergency Services to establish and maintain emergency plans, programs and <br />capabilities to deal with nuclear accidents. <br />3. That no match is required for the grant funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Grants Fund are <br />increased by 5700. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on December 10, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
