��D'► 2019 -94 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN OPIOID RESPONSE PREVENTION <br />AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $22,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2020 BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICES FUND FOR USE IN ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS <br />WHO HAVE BEEN DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY IMPACTED BY THE <br />OPIOID CRISIS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts an Opioid Response Prevention Award in the <br />amount of $22,000 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and <br />Developmental Services and appropriating said funds in the FY 2020 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services Fund for use in assisting individuals who have been directly or <br />indirectly impacted by the opioid crisis. <br />2. That said funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services to expand access to medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. <br />3. That no local match is required in order to obtain said funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund are increased by $175,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
