WIDIME N6,10,11 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE FUNDS IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $85,666.45, OF WHICH $69,020.26 IS FROM THE U.S. DRUG <br />ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION AND $16,646.19 IS FROM THE DIVISION <br />OF CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL OF THE HOMELAND SECURITY <br />DEPARTMENT, AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2020 <br />SHERIFF'S ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Federal Asset Forfeiture funds in the amount of <br />$85,666.45 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2019 Sheriffs Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the source of $69,020.26 of the funds is the U.S. Drug Enforcement <br />Administration and the source of the remaining $16,646.19 is the Division of Customs and <br />Border Patrol of the Homeland Security Department. <br />3. That the appropriation shall be used by the Sheriff's Office for purposes <br />authorized by the Equitable Sharing Guide published by the United States Department of <br />Justice. <br />4. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Sheriff's Asset <br />Forfeiture Fund Budget are increased by 585,666.45. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
