UqW= 2019 -36 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING EDUCATION AND TRAINING VOUCHER <br />FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,044 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2020 <br />SOCIAL SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL <br />SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Education and Training Voucher funds in the <br />amount of $4,044 from the Virginia Department of Social Services and appropriates said <br />sum in the FY 2020 Social Services Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services for <br />assisting eligible youths with expenses associated with college and vocational programs. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $4,044. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2019. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 11, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
