LIP <br />111• i.l! <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $552,761 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS FUND FOR <br />USE BY THE COMMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR THE <br />VICTIM WITNESS PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $552,761 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2019 <br />Grants Fund for use by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office for the Victim Witness <br />Program. <br />2. That no local cash match is required for receipt of the grant funds. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $552,761. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 25, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
