U 2018 -72 <br />��+ ._� <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN AID TO LOCAL PORTS PROGRAM GRANT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,500 FROM THE PORT OF VIRGINIA AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS FUND FOR <br />DISBURSEMENT BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION & <br />LEISURE SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS AT <br />PARADISE CREEK NATURE PARK. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts an Aid to Local Ports Program grant from the Port of <br />Virginia in the amount of $37,500 and appropriates said funds in the FY 2019 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be disbursed by the Department of Parks, Recreation & <br />Leisure Services in accordance with the terms of the grant and in connection with the <br />construction of playground equipment and security enhancements at Paradise Creek Nature <br />Park. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $37,500. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 14, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
