OROM 201-b5� <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A BYRNE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $79,830 FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF <br />JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Byrne Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of <br />$79,830 from the United States Department of Justice and appropriates said funds in the <br />FY 2019 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department <br />for various programs and equipment. <br />3. That no local match is required for the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $79,830. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 24, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
