(� 017 -106 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $480,000 WITHIN THE <br />FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES CATEGORY OF THE FY 2018 <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FROM THE SALARIES LINE ITEM TO THE <br />OVERTIME LINE ITEM FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING OVERTIME <br />COSTS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it authorizes the transfer of $480,000 within the Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services category of the FY 2018 General Fund Budget from the Salaries line <br />item to the Overtime line item for the purpose of paying overtime costs. <br />2. That the source of the transferred funds shall be anticipated salary savings <br />as a result of vacancies in the Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services. <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on December 12, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
