`" <br />'~ ~~ ~,<~6~1~~~ .2016-91, <br />.::~ .. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $310,023 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $310,023 in Aid to Localities funds from the <br />Virginia Department of Fire Programs and appropriates said sum in the FY 2017 Grants <br />Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue, <br />and Emergency Services to support fire and emergency services in the City. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $310,023. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 22, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
