~a~ x -. ~ 20 ,: <br /><: .. <br />~ e.•~u~- <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A VIRGINIA LITTER AND RECYCLING <br />GRANT FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />QUALITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,267 AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS <br />IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND TO PROMOTE LITTER PREVENTION, <br />RECYCLING EFFORTS, AND STORMWATER AND WASTE MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAMS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Virginia Litter and Recycling grant in the amount of <br />$16,267 from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and appropriates said amount <br />in the FY 2017 Grants Fund for use by the Stormwater and Waste Management Divisions for <br />the purpose of littering prevention, recycling efforts, and stormwater and waste management <br />programs. <br />2. That no City cash match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $16,267. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />November 22, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
