~2~116 - 8 2 <br />_w ..:.- <br />.~ _._ _. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING .STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT <br />PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,000 FROM THE FEDERAL <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY THROUGH THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE SOCIAL MEDIA <br />MONITORING AND INTELLIGENCE COLLECTION (SCRUBBING) <br />SOLUTION PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $45,000 from the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency through the Virginia Department of Emergency <br />Management and appropriates said funds in the FY 2017 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department <br />for the Social Media Monitoring .and Intelligence Collection (Scrubbing) Solution <br />Program. <br />3. That no match is required for the grant funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $45,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 11, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
