~p ~~~~,~ a 201 ~--6 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE WOMEN IN PUBLIC SERVICE CONFERENCE TO <br />BE HELD IN PORTSMOUTH ON SEPTEMBER 21-22, 2016.. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $9,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Fire Programs and appropriates said amount in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />for use by the Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services in connection with <br />the Women in Public Service Conference to be held in Portsmouth on September 21-22, <br />2016. <br />2. That no local cash match is required for receipt of the grant funds. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $9,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 23, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
