f <br />V~ ~ ,~~',~ ., ~~ 42016:-59 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT $128,820.73 RECEIVED VIA THE CIRCUIT AND <br />GENERAL DISTRICT COURTS AND TO APPROPRIATE SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2017 GENERAL FUND FOR USE BY THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR <br />EXERCISE EQUIPMENT AND OTHER ITEM5 NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE TRAINING ACADEMY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $128,820.73 received via the Circuit and General <br />District Courts and appropriates said amount in the FY 2017 General Fund for use by the <br />Sheriffs Office. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used for exercise equipment and other items <br />needed to support the Sheriff's Office Training Academy. <br />3. That the source of the appropriation shall be funding received via the Circuit <br />and General District Courts pursuant to Section 9.1-106 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, <br />as amended. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 General Fund <br />Operating Budget for the Sheriff's Department are increased by $128,820.73. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 9, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
