~~ ~. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHALLENGE <br />GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA COMMISSION <br />FOR THE ARTS AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2017 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSEUMS TO <br />SUPPORT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Virginia <br />Commission for the Arts and appropriates said funds in the FY 2017 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Department of Museums to support <br />youth development programming. <br />3. That the local match of $5,000 required for the grant has previously been <br />appropriated. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $5,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 26, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
