Y .~ <br />. . 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $551,037 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDING TO OPERATE LOCAL PROBATION AND PRETRIAL SERVICES IN <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $551,037 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said funds in the FY 2017 Grants <br />Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Sheriff's Department to fund the <br />Community Corrections and Pretrial Services Program. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $551,037. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 26, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
