X650 <br />a~~~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $515,179.08 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND FOR THE SUMMER FOOD <br />SERVICE PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $515,179.08 from the <br />Virginia Department of Health and appropriates said amount in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />for use by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services for the USDA <br />Summer Food Service Program. <br />2. That the grant is a reimbursement grant, and no City cash match is required. <br />3. .That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $515,179.08. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 12, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
