<br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,700 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA COMMISSION FOR THE ARTS AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2017 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF MUSEUMS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE COMBAT PAPERS WORKSHOP <br />AND THE EXHIBITION TRANSITIONS: STATES OF WAR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $3,700 from the Virginia <br />Commission for the Arts and appropriates said amount in the FY 2017 Grants Fund for use <br />by the Department of Museums in conjunction with the Combat Papers Workshop and the <br />exhibition Transitions: States of War. <br />2. That a local match in the amount of $3,700 is required for this grant, which <br />amount has previously been appropriated. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures. in the FY 2017 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $3,700. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 12, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
