_,._....20.16-35 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA E-911 SERVICES BOARD AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2016-17 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR TRAINING FOR THE EMERGENCY <br />COMMUNICATIONS UNIT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $2,000 from the Virginia <br />E-911 Services Board and appropriates said sum in the FY 2016-17 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant will be used by the Police Department for training for the <br />Emergency Communications Unit. <br />3. That no cash match is required for the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2016-17 Grants Fund <br />are increased by $2,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2016. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 24, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
