;~ z S;i °' <br />~ ~~ ~~'. ~ , ~'~~ 2015-12 <br />ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $98,273 IN <br />THE FY 2014-15 ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR VARIOUS LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby authorizes and appropriates the sum of $98,273 in the FY <br />2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is funds received from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia. <br />3. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department for <br />various law enforcement purposes. <br />4. That no local match is required in order to obtain the funds. <br />5. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund and the <br />FY 2014-15 City Operating Budget are increased by $98,273. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on March 24, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
