2015 .67 <br />,~_s__._ .~.~.,:. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,990 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NATIONAL HIGHWAY <br />TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION THROUGH THE VIRGINIA <br />HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE <br />FI' ZO15-16 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT TO DETER DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF <br />ALCOHOL. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $44,990 from the U.S. <br />Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through <br />the Virginia Highway Safety Office and appropriating said fiords in the FY 2015-16 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant will be used for education and enforcement regarding <br />Driving Under the Influence of alcohol. <br />3. That an in-kind match of $22,495 is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Grants Fund <br />are increased by $44,990. <br />>.
