''`~~~ 2015.--.54 <br />~' <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A PRIMARY EXTENSION PROGRAM GRANT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,800 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION AND TO APPROPRIATE $46,800 IN THE FY 2015-16 <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR USE IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br />PAVING OF TURNPIKE ROAD FROM UTAH AVENUE TO KINGS <br />HIGHWAY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Primary Extension Program Grant in the amount <br />of $46,800 from the Virginia Department of Transportation and appropriates said funds <br />in the FY 2015-16 Capital Improvement Fund for use in connection with the paving of <br />Turnpike Road from Utah Avenue to Kings Highway. <br />2. That no local cash match is required for the grant. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Capital <br />Improvement Fund Budget are increased by $46,800. <br />4. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the project agreement and <br />other documents memorializing the Grant in the form required by the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 11, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
