20 4- 00 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT $27,778 IN JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY BLOCK GRANT <br />FUNDS FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES AND TO <br />APPROPRIATE SAID SUM IN THE FY 2014-15 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH JUVENILE COURT SERVICES UNIT TO SUPPORT- THE VIOLATION <br />INTERVENTION PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts the sum of $27,778 in Juvenile Accountability Block Grant funds from <br />the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2014-15 Grants <br />Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Juvenile Court Services Unit to support <br />the Violation Intervention Program. <br />3. That a local match of $2,778 is required for the grant and is being provided from budgeted <br />Juvenile Court Services Outreach funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Grants Fund and the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget <br />are increased by $27,778. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on November 25, <br />2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
