2014 98 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET <br />ALLOCATION FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $47,115 AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE <br />FY 2014-15 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />SOCIAL SERVICES TO FUND COMPENSATION FOR PERSONNEL TO <br />PROCESS MEDICAID RENEWAL APPLICATIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby appropriates the sum of $47,115. in the FY 2014-15 Social <br />Services Fund to be used by the Department of Social Services to provide one-time <br />funding for additional staff hours worked to process a backlog of Medicaid applications. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is a supplemental allocation from the <br />Virginia Department of Social Services. <br />3. That no local match is required for receipt of the allocation. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Social Services Fund and the <br />FY 2014-15 Operating Budget are increased by the sum of $47,115. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 28, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
