~ 2014-97 <br />- ~, <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A VIRGINIA LITTER AND RECYCLING <br />GRANT FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />QUALITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,243 AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS <br />IN THE FY 2014-15 GRANTS FUND TO PROMOTE LITTER PREVENTION, <br />RECYCLING EFFORTS, AND STORMWATER AND WASTE MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAMS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Virginia Littering and Recycling grant in the amount <br />of $16,243 from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and appropriates said amount in the <br />FY 2014-15 Grants Fund for the purpose of promoting littering prevention, recycling efforts, <br />and stormwater and waste management programs. <br />2. That the grant is a total reimbursement grant, and no City cash match is <br />required as a condition of the grant. <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget and in the FY <br />2014-15 Grants Fund are increased by $16,243. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 28, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
