2014- r; <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A KIDS MEALS PROGRAM GRANT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $389,976 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br />CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM THROUGH THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY <br />2014-15 GRANTS FUND. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $389,976 from the U.S. <br />Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program and appropriates said amount <br />in the FY 2014-15 Grants Fund for the purpose of providing food to eligible children at <br />certain recreation centers, day care facilities, and 6 To Six After-School care sites. <br />2. That the grant is a total reimbursement grant, and no City cash match is <br />required as a condition of the grant. <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget and in the FY <br />2014-15 Grants Fund are increased by $389,976. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 28, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
