~, _ 2014-94 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING IN THE OTHER FUNDS -GRANTS FUND <br />PORTION OF THE FY 2014-15 EDUCATION FUND THE SUM OF $20,000 <br />AWARDED TO THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR <br />EDUCATIONAL SERVICES FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby appropriates the sum of $20,000 in the Other Funds-Grants <br />Fund portion FY 2014-15 Education Fund. <br />2. That the source of the funds is a grant from the federal government through <br />the Commonwealth of Virginia to be used to provide educational services to homeless <br />children of school age. <br />3. That estimated revenues in the Other Funds-Grants Fund portion. FY 2014-15 <br />Education Fund and in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget are increased by $20,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 28, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
