2014-87 <br />i -- . <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $28,156 IN THE OTHER <br />FUNDS -GRANTS FUND PORTION OF THE FY 2014-15 EDUCATION FUND <br />TO FUND SECURITY EQUIPMENT UPGRADES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That, School Security Equipment Grant funds in the amount of $28,156 <br />awarded to the Portsmouth Public Schools by the Commonwealth of Virginia are hereby <br />appropriated in the Other Funds-Grants Fund portion of the FY 2014-15 Education <br />Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used for security upgrades at Churchland <br />Academy, Churchland High, Churchland Middle; Cradock Middle, I. C. Norcom High, <br />Victory Elementary, William E. Waters Middle, and Woodrow Wilson High. <br />3. That a local match of 25% ($7,039) is required as a condition of the grant <br />and will be provided through the FY 2014-15 General Fund of the Portsmouth Public <br />Schools. <br />4. That .estimated revenues in the Other Funds-Grants Fund portion of the <br />FY 2014-15 Education Fund are increased by $28,.156. <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the.
