~~.p~ 2014-84 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $32,641 IN THE FY 2014-15 SHERIFF'S <br />BUDGET AND $50,620 IN THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT'S BUDGET <br />FOR PART-TIME SALARY FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY THE STATE <br />COMPENSATION BOARD. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby appropriates the sums of $32,641 in the Sheriff's Operating <br />Budget and $50,620 in the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Operating Budget in the FY 2014- <br />15 General Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used to fund part-time positions in said <br />offices. <br />3. That the source of the Sheriff's Department appropriation is an increase in <br />reimbursement. in the same amount from the State Compensation Board. <br />4. That the source of the appropriation in the budget for the Clerk of the <br />Circuit Court shall be the June 30, 2014 General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance in the <br />amount of $50,620. <br />5. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 operating budgets for the <br />Sheriffls Department and for the Clerk of the Circuit Court are increased by $32,641 and <br />$50,620 respectively. <br />6. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 General Fund are increased by <br />$83,261. <br />7. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 23, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
