• ~~ 2014-. • • <br />~ ~ . - .. .. <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $286,920 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2014-15 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $286,920 in Aid to Localities funds from the <br />Virginia Department of Fire Programs and appropriates said sum in the FY 2014-15 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Fire Department to support fire <br />and emergency services in the City. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Grants Fund and the FY 2014- <br />15Operating Budget axe increased by $286,920. <br />5. That this ordinance shall .take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 9, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
