~w ~ ;~ ~~ ~,~;~201~7 <br />= AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM GRANT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,992 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2014-15 GRANTS FUND <br />FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND TRAINING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Local Emergency Management Program grant in the amount of <br />$57,992 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and appropriates said funds in the FY <br />2014-15 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency <br />Services for emergency management equipment, supplies, and training: <br />3. That an in-kind match is required for receipt of the funds, and the Department has identified <br />payment of the salary of a Battalion Chief who acts as the Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management as <br />the match. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Grants Fund are increased by $57,992. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on August 26, <br />2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
