2014-fit <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $544,950 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY2014-15 GRANTS FUND TO <br />PROVIDE FUNDING TO OPERATE LOCAL PROBATION AND PRETRIAL <br />SERVICES IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $544,950 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said funds in the FY 2014-15 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Sheriffls Department to fund the <br />Community Corrections and Pre-trial Services Program. <br />3. That no local match is required for the grant funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Grants Fund and the FY 2014- <br />15City Operating Budget are increased by $544,950. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 12, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
