2014-60 <br />-~~..~.. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF $350,239 IN THE FY 2014-15 ASSET FORFEITURE FUND <br />FOR USE BY THE CITY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby authorizes and appropriates the sum of $350,239 in the FY <br />2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is funds received by the <br />Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, the Police Department, and the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />3. That the funds shall be used for law enforcement purposes. <br />4. That no local match is requirement for the funds. <br />5. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund and the <br />FY 2014-15 City Operating Budget are increased by $350, 239. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 12, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
